Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We keep them to a minimum: this website doesn’t set any cookies of its own, and it doesn’t use advertising or social-media tracking. The only cookies come from the booking and payment services on our home page, to keep booking and payment secure.
The cookies we use

None of these cookies are used for marketing.
Other websites and services
- The booking calendar loads from Smoobu’s servers (login.smoobu.com and booking.smoobu.com), with a small helper script from cdnjs.cloudflare.com. Smoobu’s booking page also measures how quickly it loads with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which didn’t set any cookies when we checked.
- Once you’ve chosen your dates, the checkout also loads Stripe’s card form (js.stripe.com, m.stripe.network and b.stripecdn.com) and hCaptcha’s bot check (hcaptcha.com), which set the cookies above.
- Our fonts load from Google Fonts. This doesn’t set cookies, but your browser shares your IP address with Google when the page loads.
- When you follow a link to Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp, those services set their own cookies under their own policies.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block the strictly necessary cookies above, the booking calendar or the payment may not work, but you can always message us on WhatsApp or email stay@thehoggswellnessretreat.co.uk.
